Hi,
There are Previous and Next buttons on the SQL Differences pane (at the bottom of the results grid). These should help navigate through the differences.
There's also the orange bar, in the left scroll bar on the same pane. This shows you the location in the script of the lines that are different. You can click on the scroll bar to jump you to the relevant differences too.
Hope this helps,

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback.
For objects that are identical except for the schema name, the SQL Differences pane at the bottom will highlight the schema difference in orange, but the object should appear in the 'identical objects' group.
If this isn't the case then is it possible for you to send me (alice.easey@red-gate.com) an example of the script on both sides (source and target) where the object is identical but appearing as different?
Thanks,

We've just released our latest early access build.
We've made considerable improvements to the way we're handling constraints and would really appreciate it if you could try out the latest build and let us know what you think.
You can download the new build here.

Hi,
Can you give us an idea of specifically which types you would want to regularly compare, and which ones you're not interested in comparing?
Thanks!

Thanks for posting the stack trace. To help us track down what's going on, can you turn on logging and send us the log file?
This help file explains how to turn on logging: http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/C ... ta_Compare\knowledgebase\logging_and_log_files.htm
If you send the log to me at alice.easey@red-gate.com, that'd be great.
Thanks,

Can you tell us if you're using the latest build (1.0.0.475)?
If not, can you try downloading it from here - we believe we have fixed this issue in that build.
Please try it out and let us know!

Hi,
If you turn on the "Force column order" option (it lives on the Options tab of the connections dialog), Schema Compare for Oracle will rebuild the table and take care of the data in the way you described.
If the "Force column order" option is not enabled, the column will just be added to the table, without a rebuild.
Hope this helps,

We've tracked this down to an error registering the WMSYS schema which we've fixed in the latest build (1.0.0.681).
Can you give this new build a try and let us know if it fixes the problem?
Thanks,

Thanks for sending the logs across.
We've identified the issue as being a problem with the way we're handling PL/SQL objects in dependent schemas not included for comparison.
We've got a fix for this that will be in the next EAP build (unfortunately we don't have any timescales for that yet).
In the meantime, a workaround would be to make sure your comparison includes all the schemas that are referenced by the objects you want to compare (so, if you're comparing a table in SchemaA that references a procedure in SchemaB, make sure you include SchemaB for comparison).
Hopefully that should fix the problem - please let us know if it doesn't or if you have any other feedback for us.
Thanks,
