If there are dependent objects between schemas, they'll be pulled in for the comparison, because if you choose to sync the objects without their dependencies the database could be left in an invalid state.
e.g. if you have an object with a dependency on a table in a schema you haven't chosen to compare, that table will show up in the comparison results (and the sync script, if you choose to sync dependencies).
I think that's what's happening here - can you let us know if that's the case?
Do you think this is useful behaviour? What would your expectations be in this situation? / comments

Was it a brand new project?
Were you comparing databases or snapshots?
Did you have any options set?
If you close the project and start a new one, select a schema, does it still show you all of them? / comments

Thanks for the suggestions.
It's unlikely that either of them will make it in for v1 as we're being pretty strict and trying to focus on core functionality only.
Specific requests for features bumps them up the list and makes them more likely to happen in the future though, so your feedback is very much appreciated.
Would we need to do anything different to how SQL Compare currently handles script folders or reporting, or would you be happy with the same functionality in Schema Compare for Oracle? / comments

Hi Maxim,
Thanks for your post. This is really useful feedback - thanks!
For the error thrown when trying to see the differences for the Type object, is is possible to email me (alice.easey@red-gate.com) with the text of the offending type as shown in both schemas from the all_source dictionary view? / comments

Hi George,
Thanks for trying out the latest version - I'm glad it's helped with the client issues.
It sounds like there's a malformed query somewhere. Is it possible for you to set up tracing so that it'll log the query on the server? Hopefully that'll help track down what's going on.
We're currently adding logging to the next build, which will make this process a bit easier.

Hi Joerg,
Thanks for your post.
Taking you up on your offer for extra info:
1. Do you have permissions set for your sqlnet.ora?
2. Can you tell us the path of where your tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora files are kept?
3. Can you connect to your databases via manual connection?
Thanks,
Alice. / comments
