I'm pleased to say I think we've pinned this down, and found it happens on all searches containing an uppercase letter. This issue is fixed in version 5.2 which we hope to be able to release later this month.
Thanks for your help finding this, / comments

The find box can sometimes clear itself, if you click out of it, and the thing you clicked would be filtered out by the find box. This is deliberate, as we thought it would be more annoying to click something, only to have it disappear. If you press enter after every search you make, to ensure the class list is completely finished filtering, then the problem shouldn't happen.

It's supposed to write it when the dialog is closed.
I'll put some debugging trace in for the next build, hopefully that'll help diagnose why it doesn't write to the registry. / comments

This tracing is there in build 341. It needs to be enabled though. Could you go to the LogginConfiguration.xml in your user's:
Local settings\application data\red gate\.net reflector 6
folder. You need to change where it says WARN to say DEBUG.
Then let me have the log file that is produced.

Thanks,
We've given it some more testing, and it works reliably for us now. Do you mind double checking the visual studio addin's about box (under the "Choose Assemblies to Debug" option in the menu). The bug may be in the installation process.
If not, could you check the registry value HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Red Gate\.NET Reflector 6\PromptOnStart
and let me know whether the value exists, and what it contains.

This should be fixed in the latest build. I have removed all code that writes to the sln file, storing the settings elsewhere instead.

Hi,
There is a bug in build 262 where it continues to adjust the solution file after you've unchecked all the assemblies. If this bug were fixed, would you still want to be asked before reflector adjusts the solution?
Thanks, / comments
