Brian,
What I have found is that a number of log backups may have collided with each other. I have now shifted the timing of some of the log backups.

Petey,
We may have had a couple of other SQLBackup jobs running at that time. As this is SQL2000 it could be MemToLeave, which is only 128Mb on SQL2000. I have increased the MemToLeave on SQL2005 as we have had 1010 errors. Will increasing the MemToLeave help?
Thanks

I have noticed a problem in 5.3 when you are running an SQL Agent SQLBackup job that has a VERIFY parameter. It sticks under the In Progress tab even when it has finished.
See Completed Backup stuck in "In Progress" queue thread.

We are running SQLBackup on both SQL2000 and SQL2005. Does this matter when using the THREADCOUNT parameter?
Thanks

Great. I will give it a try. I am supposing that it will take less time to run than running without the parameter?

At this time THREADCOUNT sounds like what I might want to try. Does it increase the CPU needed to run SQLBackup and what is the best option for an 8 CPU server with hyperthreading?
Thanks

Thanks guy's for the answer. We are not using multiple threads at this time. Maybe one of you can give me some answers on using mutilpe threads for backups? How much extra memory or CPU does this option add and normally how much faster does it make the backup run?
Thanks

Thanks for the info petey. I know that this could be upto 255 characters but how easy would it be to add it to the GUI possibly in the Backup properties window when you right click on a completed job under the Activity history tab?
Thanks

That's exactly the situation I am having Jason. I will test 5.3 for this situation when it comes out.
Thanks
