Any chance of getting a similar item that just disables SQL Prompt for the current window? (I would love to be able to disable it on a single window, as some of the larger scripts I work on either cause SQL Prompt to be too slow, or it just plain doesn't work because the query is beyond the look ahead/behind buffer size.) / comments

I don't know if you have looked through the forum history much, but I have complained about the lack of bugs getting fixed unless they cause a crash or a lot of people complain about them. So don't hold your breath for this being fixed anytime soon. (I still have open bugs from years ago that were reported against SQL Prompt 3.x and 4.x.) / comments

I too have noticed that SQL Prompt 5.1 is very slow with larger batches, is there something that we can try other than shortening how much code it looks at? / comments

Yes, I have the same problem. Red Gate has said that this is a design decision to make SQL Prompt faster. If you contact support they can give you some instructions for modifying the XML config files to have it look at more of the batch, but it makes SSMS really slow. (This started in SQL Prompt 4, in SQL Prompt 3 they had the option to look at the entire batch, and it wasn't this slow.) / comments
