I tried to replicate your issue and found a syntax error in your code near GETDATE
Can you kindly try using this code instead? CREATE PROCEDURE prc_saleTranxHistory
@executionDate DATETIME = GETDATE
AS
Begin
End
As you see the code you pasted is not parsed by management studio as it throws error and as it is erroneous SQL prompt stops prompting.
Can you amend your code to above code and let me know whether it works for you or not? / comments

Can you kindly send us the error message that you get in your SSMS?
And also let us know what exact steps you follow as soon as you right click and disconnect first database and open the new query window for new database?
The above steps will help us to understand the issue more clearly and also will help us to replicate it at our end. / comments

I forgot to mention how to obtain SQL Response log files.
We have a knowledge base article for that : http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/C ... _files.htm / comments

Kindly can you confirm that you did the changes in my previous post:
"Thank you for your post and sorry that you are experiencing this issue.
Is this problem occurring for all of the alerts or just this deadlock one?
Can you please check the following setting in the server properties for each monitored server on your Production Alert Repository and if required modify the Execution time-out to set it to 0 seconds.
Right click the computer in the Servers to show list and select Server Properties
In the Server Properties dialog for each sever and confirm that the Execution time-out Connection setting is set to 0 seconds. If it is not set to 0 seconds, can you please modify it so it becomes 0 seconds and then stop and restart the SQL Response Alert Repository.
Next monitor any new alerts and ensure that you are not getting the 'Alert is still being written to' in the alert details." / comments
