Hi, Thank you for your forum post. I believe you are experiencing a bug in SQL Backup with Windows 2000 and 2003 servers using SQL Authentication. We have a private build which should resolve the issue. Please can you e-mail support@red-gate.com quoting reference F0012995. Thanks / comments

Hi Colby Thank you for your forum post. The resource database can not be backed up by SQL Server as far as i'm aware. You have to back up the physical files with a Windows backup program. In the event that you need to restore, the files can be restored back to the same place and the SQL Service started. Please let me know if this helps. / comments

Jason, Thank you for your response. The SQL Backup GUI will convert all hour entries which are multiples of 24 to be in day format. If you change from 2 days to 47 hours, the change should still be apparent when you edit the scheduled job. Please let me know if this helps. / comments

What version of the SQL Backup GUI are you using? (Help>About) What are you changing the discard files option from? What Operating System and Service Packs do have have installed on the GUI machine? Hi LehighDBA, Thank you for your post into the forum. Unfortunately the ERASEFILES_REMOTE and FILEOPTIONS are only configurable outside of the GUI at this time. The syntax and available options are detailed in the help file under The SQL Backup Toolkit>Toolkit Syntax>The BACKUP Command. Thanks / comments
