Serial number disabled

If you see the dialog box The serial number has been disabled when activating or updating a license it could be that the license has been upgraded and a new serial key has been issued.

You will need to contact your license administrator to receive an invitation to use the new license and you'll receive an email saying you've been invited to use it. 

The email includes a link which, when clicked, takes you either to a page where you can create a Redgate ID (if you don’t already have one), or to the Redgate ID login page.  Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be taken to the product summary view in My Products, where you can get the serial number which is needed to activate the product.
